Hi All,
I hope you had a great rest of trip. It was a pleasure to talk to all of you. Thanks for having me.
While radio in its most common form utterly disregards new music and diy-artists, there are of course many passionate presenters and music editors that deeply care about discovering newcomers. It is those people you should try to get in touch with when promoting yourselves. Typically, their shows go on the air after 6pm or on weekends. In contrast to daytime radio, the presenters of the night time music shows will pick their songs themselves. That’s why you have to know every single one of them.
Below you find an incomplete list to some of their shows. It is little more than a place to start if you are looking for opportunities to showcase your music on the radio in Germany. But I hope it helps, and you are very welcome to share any links that you have found and think others like you should know about. I will check them and add them to this list.
All the best and keep in touch.
Christoph
Links to radio Shows for Newcomers
Here are a few radio stations and their programmes designed for newcomers. Most of them cater to their regions. It’s a good idea to think about a connection between you and their region (a concert? an upcoming trip? a producer or music colleague you know there?) when you hand in your songs. Not a must have, but another nudge that might make your song a good choice for them. The list is unsorted.
